Dame-Dame Advisory supports investors, developers, advisors, and institutions making investment decisions on energy and infrastructure across African markets.
We combine due diligence, market and transaction intelligence, and private capital enablement to help clients assess how capital can move into an opportunity.
Our perspective is shaped by experience from the transaction side of energy and infrastructure investments; to how development institutions enable private capital; to how developers and investors assess live opportunities.
What do we know about the counterparties, commercial conditions and execution risks affecting the capital decision?
What market, financing or institutional changes affect the capital decision?
What must change for private capital to participate in the capital decision?

Our name is inspired by the Adinkra symbol Dame-Dame [pronounced Dah-meh Dah-meh], which represents intelligence, strategy, and ingenuity. Originating from a traditional West African board game, Dame-Dame symbolizes the ability to anticipate moves, navigate complexity, and make calculated decisions. Its principles of hindsight, insight, and foresight shape how we approach capital decisions.
Dame-Dame Advisory was founded by Afua (Entsuah) Gyabaah, an infrastructure and private capital advisor with 15 years of experience across development finance, energy, infrastructure, and investment advisory. Her work focuses on the decisions, institutions, and market conditions that determine how capital moves into energy and infrastructure across African markets. Her experience spans multilateral development institutions, developers, investment platforms, family offices, and advisory firms.
Where an engagement requires it, Dame-Dame draws on a circle of senior practitioners across institutional investing, infrastructure development, development finance, government and law, for additional sector, market, legal, regulatory or risk expertise.
